Efficient heavy-duty, high capacity water
conditioning
The 168 Valve offers advantages such as simple design, rugged
Noryl* construction, efficient performance, plus proven reliability worldwide - all these
features in a heavy-duty valve.
The 168 Valve is a rugged commercial-styled valve specifically
designed for large residential and commercial water systems with the most severe problems
requiring higher flow rates and capacities.
During normal conditioning, untreated water enters the system
through an inlet at the top of the conditioning tank. As it flows down through the
conditioning bed, foreign particles are filtered and minerals collect on the ion exchange
resin, providing conditioned water for home or commercial applications.
During the regeneration cycle, the 168 Valve automatically
regenerates the ion exchange resin and cleans the conditioner for foreign particles.
Handle higher residential and commercial flow rates -
simply - with the 168/440.
The simple, direct action of the 168 Valve, with fewer parts than
most other comparable conditioning systems, assures you of years of efficient, reliable
performance. In fact, the 168 Valve has gained acceptance worldwide, with hundreds of
thousands of units currently in use.
In water systems with high iron content, the 168FA Filter Valve
is a recommended option for maximum filtering effectiveness.
The 168 Valve
- Simple design and rugged construction ensure built-in reliability
and maximum performance.
- Five-cycle operation provides for the best and cleanest
regeneration available.
- Valves seat vertically to keep sealing surface clean.
- No moving parts in the water stream help to prevent fouling,
especially in iron bearing water.
- An optional auxiliary backwash valve boosts backwash flow rates
for larger systems.
- An automatic internal bypass provides water while the system is
being regenerated.
