The Autotrol® 255 Valve with 940 Timer Control is
available with your choice of a 7-day timer, shown here on a compact cabinet water
conditioning system, or a 12-day timer.
How a Water Conditioning System Works
During normal conditioning, raw water enters the system at the top of the conditioning
tank. As it seeps down through the conditioning bed, foreign particles are filtered and
hardness minerals are collected on the ion exchange sites of the resin providing
conditioned water for your home.
During the regeneration cycle, the system automatically regenerates the ion exchange
resin.
